    Job Description

    The Med Surg Float Pool nurse provides comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units, adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows.

    Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    Float between all inpatient Medical-Surgical units.

    Provide care to patients in step down and emergency departments (for med surg holds).

    Maintain compliance with all hospital policies including attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required.


    Certifications:
    BLS, ACLS, NIHHS.

    Strong proficiency in EPIC required.
