    The Clinical Marketing and Communications team is seeking a Director of Communications to partner with our nursing leaders to develop and lead communications strategies in support of Intermountain Health nursing caregivers, including communications plan development, resource prioritizing, and channel management.

    This is an exempt, full-time position in Salt Lake City, Utah or the Front Range of Colorado (Denver Metro area) and may allow you to work a partial remote schedule, sharing time in the office and in a work from home capacity.

    With this position, you are eligible to participate in an annual pay-for-performance opportunity ("AP4P"). This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Intermountain Health Board-approved goals.
    As the Communications Director, you need to how to:

    • Partner with nursing leadership to lead and direct activities associated with communications program development, including prioritizing stakeholders and channels, creating and executing communications plans and socializing project goals and results with internal leadership.
    • Oversee the creation and implementation of numerous communications strategies and programs to reach key clinical and nursing audiences via internal and external channels.
    • Coordinate with enterprise and regional marketing and communications leaders to align, support and compliment other marcom efforts taking place at the enterprise, region and market level.
    • Identify and activate tools and resources to fulfill marcom objectives.
    • Monitor communications activities and develop measurement tools to track results of communications strategies and tactics; generates insights regarding the success or failure of plans and programs, along with communicating results to leadership directly.
    • Ensure communications programs align with Intermountain brand messaging.
    • Responsible for stewarding budgets to ensure estimates and actual expenses reconcile. Maintains all annual plans and budgets for assigned communications areas.
    • Manage a team of enterprise staff (employed or contracted) to fulfill communications strategies, tactics and other marcom executions.

    • Bachelor's degree or 7 years' experience in communications
    • Master's degree in communications or MBA, preferred

    • Seven (7) years of professional communications experience is required , preferably in healthcare
    • Ability to think strategically and work independently
    • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple resources
    • Creative mindset to problem solving and communications tactics
    • Strong knowledge of communications dynamics, service and brand management, current communications/ communication principles, digital, social and traditional formats.
    • Strong written, oral and electronic communication skills.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
