- Analyze customer specifications to determine feasibility of cost and design.
- Interface directly with customer (including engineering, quality and purchasing) to clarify and resolve problems and develop design.
- Prepare, or direct preparation of, required manufacturing documentation.
- Direct and assist manufacturing in building prototypes as well as production units.
- Plan and develop acceptance, qualification, and environmental stress screening test procedures.
- Analyze test data and reports to determine if the design meets specifications.
- Use computer assisted engineering and design software, and test equipment to develop and test products.
- Prepare quotes and negotiate prices and contracts with the customer.
- Some travel required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
- Familiar with ERP systems.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to aggressively multitask and react quickly to change.
- Product testing knowledge.
- Technical writing skills.
