- Ability to work within limited, restricted, and/or confined areas

- Associate Degree in Electronics, Computer Science/Information, Engineering, or other
- Successful completion of formal courses in telecommunications, RF communications and
- Valid driver's license

APPRENTICE

I. POSITION SUMMARY
The Electronic Systems Technician Apprentice will service and support the electronic systems and
equipment of the Delaware River and Bay Authority (Authority). Employees in this classification
assist the Electronics Systems Technicians (EST) install, program, and service equipment and
equipment peripherals in the Authority's electronic systems. An Electronic Systems Apprentice will
follow the direction from the EST assigned to train him/her and will receive leadership, guidance,
instruction, and assistance from these individuals as well as the Electronic Systems Managers and
the Director of Technical Operations. Servicing and supporting the Authority's electronic systems
and equipment will require travel to other facilities as needed to support Authority operations. The
work assigned may be performed internal or external to any Authority building or structure and at
great heights. These tasks may be performed over roadways, over waterways, on towers and on, in
or under bridges. Employees in this classification are considered essential, non-exempt employees
and are subject to call twenty-four (24) hours a day, as may be required to maintain continuous
operation of the equipment and systems at the Delaware River and Bay Authority. Personnel within
this classification receive supervision from the Electronics Systems Managers and/or the Director
of Technical Operations.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
