    Overview:

    This role brings experience in core tasks dedicated to the underwriting function, which is integral to the success of each line of business it supports,helping to drive the strategic vision set forth by Texas Capital Bank.

    This position will support a variety of lines of business within the bank, including Small Business, Business Banking, Middle Market and Corporate Banking. The Credit Risk Analyst will provide support for Texas Capital Bank business clients with total revenues up to $25 million, by analyzing financial data and underwriting loan packageswhile offering comprehensive financial solutions to clients across a broad array of industries.

    Responsibilities:

    To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to process large amounts of information, communicating in a clear and concise manner, and develop innovative solutions for our clients, all while maintaining a strong and efficient attention to detail. Depending on alignment, key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Create financial statement spreads and analyze data
  • Participate in the analysis, evaluation, and underwriting of proposed credit facilities for prospects and customers
  • Support Portfolio Manager in credit approval process (new customers, modifications, increases, risk assessments)
  • Work with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers to assess credit opportunities, identify key risks, and structure alternatives
  • Assist in the preparation of credit packages for final approval while adhering to the bank's Business Banking Credit Policy, ECOA & Fair Lending Regulatory Compliance
  • Score credits using Loan Management System for business borrowers with total indebtedness < $1MM
  • Initiate background checks/credit reports
  • Coordinate internal discussions
  • Conduct research on borrowers and industries
  • Special projects as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Commercial Banking equivalent/relevant program
  • Interest in a long-term career in Banking
  • Passion for financial services and delivering superior client experiences
  • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative
  • Effective team players who want to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build working relationships across the organization
  • Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint in order to produce reports, memos, and presentations
  • Ability to live and work in, Dallas or Houston
  • Proven leadership skills and community involvement
