- Understand, derive, and integrate electrical and mechanical requirements from locomotive subsystems design specifications into a complete locomotive design.
- Harness design, implementation, and maintenance in locomotive electrical designs.
- Responsible for the design and content of the locomotive electrical schematic.
- Participation in design reviews.
- Work with electrical design, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues that can impact production schedules.
- Work with cross functional teams to drive innovation and cost out
- Know how to use a multimeter (electrical troubleshooting)
- Know how to read and interpret an electrical schematic
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in electrical design.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in the use of CAD tools, preferred AutoCAD Electrical, for the creation of electrical schematics.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in locomotive wiring, harness and packaging

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Electrical System Integration Engineer will be responsible for the development and documentation of locomotive wiring, harness design, and schematic diagrams inner and inter compartment wire and cable routing and remote interface design.
In this role you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
