We are currently seeking a Program Nurse Practitioner for our Albuquerque, New Mexico facility.
Nurse Practitioner hours are Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm. All Federal Holidays are observed.
Nurse Practitioner has opportunity to select an employee (W2) or independent contractor agreement. Annual renewal of this arrangement is anticipated.
Duke City Recovery Toolbox provides best practices evidence-based medication assisted treatment and behavioral health services for individuals suffering from opioid addiction. With individualized care that includes a blend of therapies and the use of safe and effective medications, we provide comprehensive addiction treatment.
Position Characteristics
· Nurse Practitioner, licensed in the State of New Mexico, who assumes responsibility for directly or indirectly performing all medical services provided by the Behavioral Health Program to include Psychiatric Medication Management, Methadone prescribing and Suboxone Treatment.
· The Program Nurse Practitioner will ensure medical services are provided in compliance with federal and state regulations and all clinic policies and procedures.
· The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Medical Director in all matters of medical discretion, and for administrative purposes, to the Program Director and/or Assistant Program Director.
Job Requirements
· Possesses a current and unrestricted APRN License to practice in the state of New Mexico.
· Possesses current and unrestricted DEA registration in the state of New Mexico
· Preferred minimum of one year post-graduate independent practicing history in general or family medicine.
· Willingness to be trained by Medical Director and/or Program Physician in medicated assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.
· Demonstrates leadership and a team focused practice approach. Possesses cognitive, organizational, emotional ability and maturity to effectively manage potential stressors and demanding situations. Possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Requires willingness to accept additional responsibilities as needed.
· There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.
