- Manage, Supervise, Operate and Maintain the Water Treatment Plant at 29 Palms MCAGCC
- Support the operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant Production Facility
- Support the operations and maintenance of the 29 Palms MCAGCC drinking water system
- Perform routine and non-routine inspections of the entire water treatment facility
- Collect and run routine bench top analysis of various water treatment samples
- Collect, document and report operating conditions of specific water treatment equipment and systems
- Recorded routine and non-routine activities during scheduled shifts
- Perform housekeeping assignments as required for the water treatment facility
- Maintain Chemical stock, storage, and ordering Qualifications
- T3 California Department of Environmental Quality Water Treatment Certification
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience with operating and maintaining conventional pretreatment water systems
- Experience with reverse osmosis systems
- Valid California Driver's License
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Basic analytical and creative problem solving skills, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites software
- Knowledge of SCADA control systems from a user standpoint is desired
- Higher Level Certification (T3)
- Water Treatment Plant Experience
- Supervise/Manage Water Treatment Plant Operations
- This position is not currently subject to federal or company requirements regarding COVID-19 vaccination or regular testing; but this is subject to change at any time. Employees are expected to comply with all current and future federal and company requirements.
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

BSPS, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking qualified T3 Water Treatment Plant Operator Chief for the 29 Palms MCAGCC BOS Contract. We are looking for a T3 California Certified Operator to Manage, Supervise, Maintain, Facilitate, and Operate the Main Water Treatment Plant located on the 29 Palms MCAGCC Base.

Job is performed in an office and field setting. During work in the field setting, the candidate will be exposed to an environment typical of the southwest desert. The candidate may also at times be required to work around chemicals typical of a water treatment facility

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
