    Annapurna Labs builds high-performance hardware and software solutions used in AWS data centers globally.

    Were looking for a software development manager within our Machine Learning team that will focus on supporting development of Neuron SDK's DevOps team.

    As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of infrastructure as code, test frameworks, and large scale clusters to support ML development on both Trainium and Inferentia.

    A successful candidate will have an established background in developing software infrastructure, test frameworks, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

    You will also be helping to hire and build your team and systems.

    Key job responsibilities You will be responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of our infrastructure as code, test frameworks, and large scale ML test clusters.

    A day in the life As you design and code solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture, youll create metrics, implement automation and other improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects.


    Youll also:
    Build high-impact solutions to deliver to our large customer base. Participate in design discussions, code review, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input. Work in a startup-like development environment, where youre always working on the most important stuff.     Cupertino, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3 years of engineering team management experience - 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience - 3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
    • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
    • Experience partnering with product or program management teams PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

    The base pay for this position ranges from $148,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
