    Job Overview:


    As the Director of Risk Management Solutions and 2LD (Second Line of Defense) Controls, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and oversight of 3rd party risk management solutions and detective controls within our organization.

    You will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our Risk Management framework, including the design and adoption of 3rd-party solutions and robust detective controls to mitigate AML, Fraud, Credit and other types of risks.

    Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting a strong risk culture at Ouro and enhancing our resilience to emerging threats and challenges.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Risk Solutions Strategy:

    Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the design, enhancement, and optimization of AML, Fraud and Credit Risk Management tools, aligning them with the organization's risk appetite and business objectives.


    Third-Party Risk Solutions Monitoring and Governance: Establish robust monitoring processes and frameworks for 3rd-party risk management solutions, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and alignment with regulatory expectations and internal platform standards.

    Controls Strategy:

    Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of second line of defense controls to ensure the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.


    Team Leadership:

    Manage a team of highly technical risk analysts and control specialists, providing direction, support, and mentorship to drive high performance and continuous improvement in risk management practices.


    Stakeholder Engagement:

    Collaborate closely with senior management, business leaders, internal audit, compliance, and other key stakeholders to communicate risk management priorities, challenges, and opportunities and to foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability.


    Risk Reporting and Communication:

    Develop and deliver comprehensive risk reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive leadership, board committees, and regulatory authorities, providing insights into key risk exposures, trends, and mitigation efforts.


    Regulatory Compliance:

    Stay informed of regulatory developments and industry trends related to risk management and controls, ensuring that the Ouro's practices and 3rd-party systems remain compliant and adaptable to evolving requirements.


    Continuous Improvement:

    Identify areas for process enhancement, automation, and innovation in 3rd-party risk management solutions, driving efficiency gains, and enhancing Ouro's ability to anticipate and respond to emerging risks.


    Qualifications:


    7+ years in Risk Management, with a focus on developing, implementing, and overseeing AML, Fraud and Credit risk management rules, solutions, and controls within Fintech or similar industry.


    Strong leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a complex and dynamic environment.


    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.

    Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management; professional certifications preferred.

    Strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business goals and risk management objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.

    Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results, fostering innovation, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.


    Hands-on experience configuring business rules in 3rd party AML, Fraud and/or Lending rules engines such as Actimize, IBM Safer Payments, GDS Link, Falcon, Blaze.

    Proficiency in SQL or python or demonstrated aptitude in developing technical skills

    BS in Economics, Math, Computer Science, or a related field
