    • PostgreSQL & MongoDB Remote Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Database Administrator with expertise in PostgreSQL and MongoDB to join our team.
    As the Lead Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our database systems, ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability.

    You will lead a team of database administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain efficient database solutions.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration as both an Application DBA and a Platform/Infrastructure DBA, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of both PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

    Responsibilities + Design, implement, and maintain database systems that meet the organization's requirements for performance, reliability, and scalability. + Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies. + Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly application development teams, to gather database requirements and translate them into efficient and effective solutions.

    + Lead a team of database administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise. + Ensure the security and integrity of the databases, implementing and enforcing access controls and data protection measures. + Perform database capacity planning and make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades. + Troubleshoot, resolve, prevent database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.

    + Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in database administration and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
