    About the Role

    The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering data in a work-at-home environment, managing utility invoices and preparing customized reports.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enter customer utility invoices by interpreting source documents and coded information.
    • Perform required steps dictated by online programs and procedures.
    • Handle exception items according to established procedures.
    • Key utility invoices from image (KFI).
    • Understand basic utility industry concepts and terms.
    • Comprehend the fundamentals of billing and payment processes.
    • Have a thorough understanding of specialized data entry accounts.
    • Logically plan workdays and prioritize tasks.
    • Perform entry duties within established time and quality standards.
    • Maintain personal computers according to Cass requirements.
    • Utilize organizational skills to ensure no bills are missing or lost.

    Requirements:

    • Able to type 9,000 keystrokes per hour.
    • Ability to grasp and retain instructions.
    • High level of concentration.
    • Self-motivated.
    • Accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Specialized training in data entry or prior experience.
