    Day shift (6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri)

    Description:

    A Manufacturing Technician in Trim & Drill is responsible for several key tasks related to the finishing of composite (often fiberglass) parts.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


    Trim rough edges and shape parts according to drawings and specifications using various hand tools like band saws, drills, and rotary cutting disks.

    Visually inspect and clean finished parts to meet quality standards.
    Handle materials and ensure necessary parts are present.

    Adhere to safety guidelines and use PPE, maintain a clean workspace (potentially following the 5S philosophy), properly dispose of hazardous materials, and organize tools and materials after completing tasks.

    Engage in continuous improvement activities, assist with standard operating procedures, and collaborate with team members to resolve production issues.

    Required Skills and Abilities:
    Proficiency with hand tools.
    Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
    Strong attention to detail for quality assurance.
    Familiarity with manufacturing environments.
    Problem-solving skills.

    Physical Demands:


    This role involves frequent movement, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 30 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

    Visual acuity at close range is also necessary.

    Work Environment:


    The work environment may include exposure to moving machinery, dust, fumes, and airborne particles, requiring the use of protective gear.

    Noise levels can vary but are typically moderate.
    This position requires reliability, willingness to learn, and teamwork. Experience in a production environment is beneficial.
