Description

MDW Associates has an immediate need for a Software Developer to support our Missile Defense client in Huntsville, AL This is a telework position in Huntsville, AL and requires the candidate to be within a 2 hour drive of Redstone Arsenal.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team providing custom development, system enhancement and debugging of an existing web based application utilizing the Microsoft Visual Studio development suite of tools. The responsibilities include requirements analysis, design, development, and testing.

Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Work independently or as part of a team utilizing Agile development concepts
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced development environment
Work with Application Users to understand process requirements and quickly develop and deliver new and enhanced capabilities
Debugging existing software in order to resolve issues as they arise

Required Skills & Experience:

Working knowledge and relevant experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, specifically Visual Basic and C#
Experience with PL/SQL, development of Oracle Stored Packages, and with Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET)
Ability to assist with database table design as part of requirements development and delivery

Experience preferred:

Experience working as part of a team in a remote environment
Experience with DoD PPBE process
Experience with Microsoft Power BI
Experience with Team Foundation Server
Experience developing data visualizations using Qlik is a plus

Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or any Technical Field with extensive coursework in Computer Science and 2 - 7 years' experience

Programming Languages:

VB, C#, C++, SQL, PL/SQL, VBA

Clearance Requirement(s):

Candidates for this position must be eligible and must be able to obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
Candidates with a current Secret clearance preferred
