    CLINICAL DIRECTOR of OUTPATIENT SERVICES

    Supervised by: Executive Director Supervises: Program Director of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Outpatient Services, Mental Health (MH) Clinicians including those with Conditional Licensure as well Student Interns.

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing and ensuring through collaboration, adherence to co-occurring capable, trauma-informed models of care as part of a continuum of care within the organization. This role will develop strategies to allow for continued departmental growth. Oversees the work of the clinical staff, acts as a mentor to clinical staff and helps all staff develop their clinical and care management skills through delivery or coordination of training opportunities. Responsible for managing a team of staff members and establishing relationships with other professionals. Works collaboratively with the Clinical Director of SUD Residential Services and the Program Director of New Horizon's Withdrawal Management Program.

    Essential Functions:

    Oversee all outpatient clinical services.

    Cooperatively coordinates clinical services across the continuum of care.

    Oversees the training needs for staff to ensure appropriate provisions of services.

    Assist with crisis intervention services as needed or requested.

    Coordination with other providers regarding clinical services, progress and facilitation of transitions.

    Coordination with Operational, Fiscal and Human Resources leadership as required to ensure quality and efficient execution of services within the organization.

    Maintain a high quality of professional activity, including participating in evaluations of work processes and outcomes.

    Participate in ongoing professional development, including agency meetings and trainings, and requirements of outside licensure, as necessary to maintain a high quality of service.

    Act professionally, ethically, and collaboratively at all times with clients, families, agency staff, staff of other service programs, and community members.

    Follow administrative policies including maintaining records and performing other administrative duties in a timely fashion.

    Oversees outpatient clinical operations and evaluates services to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, licensing agency and Mainecare and Medicare regulations.

    Maintains, analyzes, and evaluates client records, prepares reports, develops and implements safety plans, and updates discharge reports if required.

    Manages and coordinates clinical supervision as needed.

    Provides clinical assessments as needed.

    Provides individual and group clinical counseling on a limited basis when needed.

    May work non-traditional hours if needed to do so.

    Qualification/Education/Experience/Personal Characteristics:

    Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

    Current state licensure as a LCPC; LCSW; LMFT. Five years of experience with supervision and supporting similar program populations.

    High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere with good communication and documentation skills.

    Must be professional; sympathetic, sensitive and compassionate towards the participants at all times.

    Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required, including ability to read and speak English; ability to work with and communicate to diverse workforce in all levels of the organization.

    Hold a strong sense of professional, ethical, and confidential standards.

    Possess technological skills to accurately maintain documentation including but not limited to EHR system.

    Must hold a valid driver's license, submit to routine driving and criminal record check.
