    Job Responsibilities

    Collaborate with management and staff on position classification, job classification interpretation, and compensation policy application.
    Develop job evaluation plans through research and statistical analysis, considering internal and external market factors.
    Prepare and recommend job descriptions and salary ranges, effectively communicating these to relevant schools/centers.
    Develop and maintain comprehensive compensation reports, analyzing trends and providing insights to inform decision-making processes. This includes compiling data on salary structures, merit increases, and other compensation elements, ensuring accuracy and relevance to organizational needs.
    Conduct compensation surveys, providing analysis and preliminary recommendations regarding job evaluation and market trends.
    Audit pay practices for compliance with relevant laws and regulations, documenting findings and suggesting compliance solutions.
    Support hiring managers with salary administration information, including equity reports and market data analysis.
    Handle additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have a background in compensation analysis and management.
    Strong technical skills are required, including advanced proficiency in Excel for complex data manipulation and analysis. Experience in managing databases and utilizing HR information systems (HRIS) to support compensation and benefits tasks.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create reports, presentations, and documents.
    In-depth knowledge of compensation frameworks, including job evaluation, market analysis, and pay structure design. Familiarity with benefits administration and understanding of how compensation fits into overall HR strategy and practices.
    Comprehensive understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices, with specific expertise in those related to compensation and benefits, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other relevant employment laws.
    Excellent communication and customer service skills are critical, with the ability to clearly explain compensation and benefits information to employees and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate and work effectively with diverse groups.
    Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage compensation projects from conception through implementation.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in higher education.
    CCP, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
