As a Technology Solutions & Support Consultant, you will be at the forefront of empowering financial advisors across the nation. This on-site position is all about enhancing sales effectiveness and driving practice growth through innovative technology solutions.

    In this dynamic dual role, you'll not only optimize technology configurations and drive product integration but also provide tailored consulting to align digital strategies with business goals. By championing the adoption of Northwestern Mutual's technology suite, you will transform advisor practices and foster collaboration at all organizational levels.

    What You'll Do

    • Build strong relationships with financial advisors (FA), FA teams, and network office (NO) leadership to understand their business objectives and support needs.
    • Guide advisors in using Northwestern Mutual's technology tools effectively, showcasing how they enhance client-advisor experiences and boost productivity.
    • Leverage your extensive knowledge of computers, mobile devices, hardware, software configurations, operating systems, and LAN.
    • Gain a deep understanding of the insurance and investment sales cycles to integrate technology seamlessly into business processes.
    • Utilize consulting strategies to clearly communicate technology benefits, ensuring your audience fully understands the value.
    • Provide advanced project consultation and subject matter expertise on technology needs, remodels, new office buildouts, and upgrades to enhance customer experiences.
    • Collect feedback from advisors and teams to relay to Home Office leadership, ensuring technology solutions meet user needs.
    • Manage escalations and oversee project management of enterprise technology implementations and upgrades, maintaining communication with local and corporate leadership.
    • Identify inefficiencies and suggest simple technology applications to improve advisor practices.
    • Participate in planning sessions to support goal achievement and learn strategic methods to increase productivity and client satisfaction.
    • Assist in delivering training on technology best practices, facilitating classes to promote effective tool usage.
    • Prepare users for new technology deployments by assisting with training and communicating benefits.
    • Manage vendor relationships for third-party technology solutions, ensuring effective collaboration and integration.
    • Track engagement activities and attend training sessions to expand your knowledge and skills.
    • Maintain a high level of proficiency in complex computer hardware and software technologies through continuous education and self-study.
    • Be prepared for travel based on supported offices.

    What You'll Bring to the Role

    • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including consultation within financial services or a similar industry.
    • Experience in coaching and training professionals.
    • Preferred technology support experience.
    • Ability to understand sales-focused software technology and its benefits.
    • Advanced knowledge in computer and mobile device hardware and software troubleshooting.
    • Strong relationship-building skills.
    • Proven ability to consult and drive measurable improvements in an outcome-based model.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate groups effectively.

    Compensation Range


    Pay Range - Start: $70,770.00

    Pay Range - End: $131,430.00

    Geographic Specific Pay Structure


    Structure 110: $67,690.00 USD - $125,710.00 USD

    Structure 115: $70,770.00 USD - $131,430.00 USD
