- Position Purpose
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate operations for all home and away athletic events for all sports:
- Creating rosters for both teams
- Coordinating all workers for home events
- Double checking on all facilities for game day
- Scheduling of event staff positions for home game management for all sports
- Assists with the coordination with the assignors of officials for all sports and payment of all officials for all sports
- Coordination of communications with all opponents regarding contracts and details of events.
- Develop a program for coaching evaluation and growth initiatives.
- Assist with a variety of initiatives and reports.
- Monitor ongoing status of Athletic projects, program reviews, reports, student files and records, and advising rosters.
- Assists in preparing purchase orders, requisitions and authorizations for Athletics supplies and equipment.
- Utilize appropriate resources (e.g. Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Docs etc.) to develop reports, maintain records, draft and edit letters, memos and agendas.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
- Point person for office operations and procedures
- Serves as the direct supervisor of customer representatives and student workers.
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred. Three years' experience in management, communications, sports administration or related field.
- Experience in sports or athletic administration preferred.
- Critical to the position is enthusiasm, dependability, and responsiveness.
- Excellent attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through in order to achieve goals.
- The ability to anticipate needs and proactively address them, to learn quickly, and to reliably complete work in a timely matter to high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to continuously prioritize work, set and achieve effective goals, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle high volume workloads and juggle priorities and deadlines
- Willingness to seek out guidance of information needed to perform duties.
- Strong computer skills-MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and willingness to learn new computer skills as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and public relation skills.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to take initiative and make decisions.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
