    The Valencia location is a crucial site within ITT's aerospace sector focused in Fluid Motion Control and Environmental Control Systems product lines.

    The Test and Automation Engineer works in a hands-on environment supporting the operations team to provide technical support for production. You will be responsible for design build new electro-mechanical test equipment for new products, and maintenance, repairs, obsolescence planning and continuous improvement on existing test equipment with a strategic approach to automation where applicable.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include but not limited too

    • Quickly develop a thorough understanding of the companys products and all test requirements (primarily: rotary actuators, hydraulic valves, and pressure and temperature switches).
    • Design, develop and build new automated electro-mechanical manufacturing and production test equipment for in-house use.
    • Create electrical schematic/2D Electrical Drawings, specify and purchase all components and materials, find reliable vendors to assist, and write software to accomplish the design and development of automated test equipment.
    • Modify existing test equipment hardware and/or software to accommodate new or changed requirements.
    • Service, maintain and repair test equipment. Upgrade or replace old/obsolete systems.
    • Write comprehensive statements-of-work and evaluate/select vendors to perform test equipment development and fabrication.
    • Work on Eletrical Panel/Controllers/Circuit boards of high pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems (up to 10,000 PSI).
    • Work on test equipment that operates at high temperatures (up to 600 F).
    • Write and perform test system validation and calibration procedures to AS9100 requirements.
    • Maintain test system documentation to AS9100 requirements.
    • Ensure a safe environment at all times.
    Position Requirements:

    Minimum position requirements:

    • Preffered Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or any related
    • Min 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing
    • Understanding of Aerospace quality systems
    • Ability to lead cross functional Test Equipment efforts from initial requirements phase to implementation to production line
    • Prepare detailed documents that are accurate, clear and concise.
    • Lift up to 40 lbs

    Preferred requirements

    • Design, develop and debug DC to low frequency analog and digital electronic circuits.
    • Help to design mechanical systems and mechanisms in SolidWorks.
    • Develop and debug test automation software in Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Matlab, PLC Ladder Logic and LabVIEW.
    • Understand and safely use motors, gearboxes, valves, electrical power, pneumatics and hydraulics and all commonly used related tools and components, including oscilloscopes.
    • Work with vendors to clarify all aspects of design for custom parts, including machined parts and PCBs.
    • Strong understanding and follow aerospace quality systems.

    Equal Pay Act Range:
    Annual Salary Range is $108,200 to $197,800 plus benefits and incentive plans.
