    For over 60 years, St. Vincent's Special Needs Services (SVSNS) has been a trusted provider of specialized services for individuals with complex medical needs, such as cerebral palsy, acute brain injury, neuromuscular disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide informal training and direct care to clients based on person-centered plans, individual needs/requests, and daily household operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise, train, and/or assist clients in accordance with person-centered plans, including personal care, recreation, and reinforcement of individual habilitation objectives.
    • Assure client's personal property and adaptive equipment is clean and in good order, including wheelchair, clothing, and living space.
    • Plan, schedule, and transport clients to work, appointments, and community activities.
    • Document routine medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and/or healthcare professionals.
    • Assist individuals with meal preparation and encourage good nutritional habits and adherence to prescribed diets.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • No prior work experience required
    • CT Driver's License required
