    Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Document Quality Assurance Specialist to work from their Sterling Heights, MI facility.

    Duties in Document Quality Assurance include but are not limited to:
    Performing reviews of Logistics products for such items as:Technical Accuracy
    Adherence to Military Style
    Artwork and text correlation
    Accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation
    Consistency in fonts, heading, language
    Performing Pre-print and post-print reviews for certification of publications
    Interact with technical writers, Validation/Verification monitors, RPSTL and Art when necessary
    Document errors and confirm corrective action is taken
    Communicate status to supervisor/other team members as necessary
    Perform periodic audits of logistics product development activity as assigned
    Perform administrative tasks/other duties as directed by supervisor


    Additional Information / Desired Experience Applicant will be able to perform the duties of the position described above in addition to the following.

    Experience in logistics/quality assurance in the development of military vehicles is a plus.
    10 years relevant experience in related field will be considered in lieu of degree.
    Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate specific task information effectively is required.
    Attention to detail and consistency is a must.
    Strong computer skills with familiarity with mil std 40051 is required.

    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with peers, leadership, and different levels of the organization.

    Ability to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines.

    Qualifications Sought: 5 to 7 years of experience.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently
    Mind-set to work collaboratively in a team environment for program success
    Proven skills in the development of technical documents and oral communication
    Strong technical writing and presentation skills sought.
