Job summary
The Medical Assistant provides clinical care to patients in urgent care settings.Responsibilities include initial evaluations and preparing patients for provider evaluation by recording histories and vital signs while recognizing acuity levels for appropriate intervention.
Greet patients promptly and provide clear communication about next steps and wait times
Offer solutions to patient concerns and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations
Ensure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results; execute follow-up calls with urgency
Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when needed
