    Description
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

    Senior Accountant

    to join our client's accounting team at a leading Healthcare organization in Irving, TX. The

    Senior Accountant


    will play a key role in managing financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes within the healthcare sector.

    The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.


    Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

    General Accounting:
    Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports
    Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records


    Financial Reporting:
    Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards

    Internal Controls:


    Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law), and mitigate financial risks.

    Conduct periodic audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls

    Financial Analysis:
    Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making, strategic initiatives, and business development opportunities. Evaluate financial performance, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to stakeholders

    Audit Support:
    Serve as a liaison for external auditors during annual audits and regulatory examinations. Prepare audit schedules, respond to inquiries, and assist in resolving audit findings in a timely manner

    Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen internal controls. Implement best practices and automation solutions to optimize workflow and reduce manual efforts


    Senior Accountant Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred
    Minimum of 3 of progressive accounting experience
    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Epic) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
