Sr. OSI PI Engineer - Newark, United States - Automation Technical Resources

This premier company, with a global presence, is growing and has a full time direct opportunity for a Sr. OSI PI Engineer based outside the Newark, NJ area.In this role, you will support clients across a diverse industry base that includes Biotech, Chemical, F&B, HVAC, Pharmaceuticals, Oil Refining and others.

Initially this role will be based in the office but eventually you will be going to client sites to provide support.
Responsibilities:
OSI PI Development - deliver all aspects of data management project implementations from proposal support through start-up/commissioning.
Perform definition/implementation/integration of DCS and/or AVEVA OSIsoft PI with external systems
Perform definition/implementation/integration of OEE, KPI, dash boarding, and /or reporting solutions.
Develop specific AVEVA OSIsoft PI visualizations and dashboards, analytical equations and advanced reporting.
Support installed base of technology solutions, including OSIsoft PI, DCS, MES, thin client management, virtualization, Kepware/Matrikon OPC and SyTech XLReporter
Perform system and network setups, commissioning, upgrades and installation. Load system software for company supplied systems. Configure networking and/or Microsoft Active Directory/DNS networks.
Troubleshoot control system network , issues both on and offsite to determine root cause of communication, network operating systems and/or control problems.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Chemical, Biochemistry or Electrical Engineering.
3+ years complex OSI PI development experience required.
Process control and systems integration experience, such as AVEVA OSI PI, Aspen InfoPlus.21, DCS, PLC and/or OPC HDA/DA/UA/XML
Experience integrating to external systems such as MAXIMO, Syncade, Werum, SAP and databases preferred
Python, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server development experience preferred.
Customer facing experience required
Must frequently travel to NYC Tri-State area client sites to directly support secure deliverables.
Strong organization and time management skills
