Biological Sciences – Tenure Track Full-Time Faculty

Position Summary

The College of Arts & Sciences at California Baptist University invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position in the area of Biological Sciences in the Department of Biological Sciences.

The appointment includes teaching both the lower- and upper-division courses at the undergraduate and possibly graduate levels, including those that support a biomedical curriculum.

Other duties include participation in departmental program assessment, student advising, and university and community service. The successful candidate will have the ability to conduct a research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.

Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching through the integration of the Christian faith and learning.

Pay Range

The compensation for this appointment will range from $70,000-$90,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment.

Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of

Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a PhD in biology or a related field. Preference will be given to those with a history of quality teaching and mentoring students in research.

Teaching Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities include both upper-division and lower-division biology and general education science courses, as well as, engaging with undergraduates and graduates in research courses.

May also include teaching in the graduate biomedical sciences program.
