    We are currently hiring for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Leader for the IT Category to join our procurement team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing strategy and execution of all IT related products and services for WestRock Company.

    Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic sourcing plan for IT categories, including hardware, software, telecommunication services, and other technology solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment with sourcing strategy
  • Identify cost-savings opportunities and drive negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms from suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and service level expectations are met
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform decision-making and identify potential new suppliers
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as needed
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT sourcing

  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing for IT categories
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating with suppliers and achieving cost savings targets
  • Strong understanding of IT products and services, market trends, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Professional certification in supply chain management (e.g. CSCP, CPSM) or procurement (e.g. CPSM, CPP)
  • Experience in the packaging industry or related field
  • Knowledge of contract law and experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
