Job summary
The Maintenance Mechanic Level II works under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. The mechanic is primarily responsible for ensuring that production equipment is at maximum uptime and in good repair.Responsibilities
- Maintain, test and repair plant equipment to include, but not limited to conveyors motors pumps bearings valves.
- Fabricate parts and production piping equipment as required
- Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on equipment per the P.M. schedule SROs for prescheduled preventative maintenance work will be issued to mechanics at the start of their shift The mechanic will record the following information record parts used provide a brief description of the steps taken to complete the work order enter name and signature provide labor minutes or hours take to complete the task Unscheduled Maintenance work Mechanics are required to submit written SROs for unscheduled work as follows",record unit identification provide a brief description of repair identify SRO type as either pm safety enhancement or service reason for repairobject identification on data collection sheet Replaces lights starters dryers pumps seals gear boxes shafts augers piping as required Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on equipment per the P.M. schedules Train maintenance entry maintenance mechanics in basic lubrication and preventive maintenancetechniques Alert Maintenanace ManagerandorMaintenanace Supervisorto any non-standard condition or parts requirements especially those which pose afood safety or human safty danger Follow all safty rulesand practices includefollowing all personal protective equipmenFollow all personal hygieneand food saftey practices Assist general contractoras directed withthe installationof new ormmodified equipmen Act profesionally toward customers vendorsand other visitors todieplant Follow anyother instructionsOf themaintenance ManagernandorMaintenanace Superivisor Progress inskill levels learn torepare utility systems advancein ammonia systems knowledgeandrepare Performs other duties assignedandrequired.
