Our work depends on Data Engineer Advisor joining our team to use an array of skills to interface with end-users and the Development team.
An ideal candidate will have significant data engineering technical capabilities, as well as intelligence analysis skills (analytical methodology and practice; writing and production; briefing; and identification of knowledge gaps, etc.).
A successful data engineer must be able to coordinate with multiple customer partners, excel at individual projects and contribute to joint efforts with minimal supervision.
HOW A DATA ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTDesigns, develops, maintains, and tests infrastructures for data generation as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.
Represent "super-users" for ongoing system development effortsCollaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineersProvide recommendations for continuous improvementProactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement in testing or other processesContribute to data calls and special projects (as needed)WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
Required Experience:
At least eight (8) years of related experience in data engineering, technical analysis, technical targeting, or a similar relevant technical discipline
Required Technical Skills:
Familiarity with scripting or programming with Linux, Python, or any other languageExperience analyzing both large and small datasets to identify trends and patternsExperience producing informational, contextual, and/or intelligence products that embody and explain findings for a variety of audiencesFamiliarity with field HUMINT, cyber collection with in-depth knowledge of national intelligence AgenciesSkilled with writing intelligence productsAbility to translate and communicate analyst/targeter end-user requirements to developers providing system upgrades, features, and added data valueStrong briefing and writing (verbal and written) skills

Required Skills and Abilities:
Hands-on experience using commercially available data exploitation and visualization tools for analysis (e.g., MS Excel, Tableau, Wireshark, X-Ways, Encase)
