- Monitor Westwood's networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
- Install and use software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information.
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
- Define and implement security standards, policies, and procedures that meet or exceed industry best practices.
- Facilitate internal and external security audits.
- Work with Legal to perform client contract reviews.
- Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood.
- Manage network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
- Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause.
- Coordinate security plans with outside vendors.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
- - 5 years' work experience in an information security leadership role.
- Knowledge of various information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST, COBIT, etc.).
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measures.
- Strong IT skills including knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
