    Our client, a major utility company, is looking for a Business Systems Process Analyst to join their team in Detroit, MI.

    This long-term contract role (possibility for extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate of $39.80/hour (benefits are available).

    Position will be hybrid (up to 3 days per week working on site). ONLY candidates that reside in the Metro Detroit area will be considered for this role.

    Job Summary

    The Analyst reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user needs. They may be responsible for documenting and translating business processes in a clear and concise method by using their knowledge of business process mapping and of the various tools and software that are available. This will be accomplished by focusing on specific client requirements and ultimately interpreting these requirements into an illustration of the overall business process.

    The Analyst formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. They write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

    The Analyst must also be adept at understanding and identifying bottlenecks, rework, and multiple loops with the documented process, and be able to provide solutions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in IT or Engineering- Required
      • 1-2 years of industry experience- Required
    • Industrial Engineering experience or Industrial Engineering degree- Preferred
      • Utility Experience- Preferred
    • Experience in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)- Required
      • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel Skills- Strongly Preferred
    • Project Management Skills- Strongly Preferred
    • Willingness to learn how to interact with new systems such as Geographical Information -System or Asset Data Management System- Required
    • Ability to manage and work on multiple projects or deliverables- Required
