This role is focused on key aspects of our marketing work via the tracking, analyzation, and optimization of user interactions across our website and overall online presence.

As a core member of the Marketing team and reporting directly to our CMO, you are expected to become a driving force in the growth of the company.

The main area of ownership for this position is managing and improving the technical aspects of our marketing operations, including setting up and maintaining tracking systems, data integrations, and audience segmentation across platforms.

Using a Swiss Army Knife of tools to ensure data accuracy and marketing efficiency, detail activities of this role includes:

    Tracking Setup and Maintenance:
Setting up and configuring Google Analytics (GA4) parameters, events, and data streams to track website interactions.
Managing GTM containers to deploy and control marketing and analytics tags without requiring code changes.

    Data Integration and Reporting:

Integrating data from various sources (e.g., CRM systems, Merchant Center, and ad platforms) to create a comprehensive view of customer interactions and marketing performance.

Conducting in-depth analyses of marketing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization by querying large datasets using BigQuery and SQL.

Generating comprehensive reports and data visualizations using tools like Google Data Studio to present key performance metrics and actionable insights.

    CRO and Audience Segmentation:

Leveraging tools like Optimizely and Hotjar to conduct and analyze A/B tests to improve website user flows and conversion rates.

Creating and managing user segments based on demographics, behavior, and engagement data to support UI improvements and personalization across various marketing channels.

    Tech Stack Ownership and Maintenance:
Researching and implementing new tools and systems to stay ahead of the marketing technology curve.
Troubleshooting data modeling issues and ensuring data accuracy across systems and integrations.

    Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role several important traits are required:

    Technical Acumen:

You have a solid understanding of data layer implementation and event tracking using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, and marketing automation platforms.

You leverage this knowledge to optimize data tracking and attribution.

    Analytical Mindset:
You understand that the difference between an idea and a good idea is in the testing and analysis. You possess strong analytical skills, and are able to extract insights from complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities.

    Continuous Learner:
You have a curiosity for new marketing technologies and industry trends.

You are constantly seeking to expand your knowledge, while remaining equally curious to understand user behavior on an individual level and at scale.

    Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to convey technical concepts and intricate processes comprehensively.

    Independence:
In a fast-growing company in a fast-changing industry, everybody is constantly busy. You are comfortable with getting a task and running with it to completion with limited input and oversight.

    Thoroughness:

You take pride in the fact that you have a large impact on the livelihoods of many people and realize that even slight errors in your work can have far reaching consequences.

This is a responsibility you value and respect.

    Team Player:

You are equally comfortable with crafting a new attribution strategy as you are with getting a round of coffee for the team, and you honor your deadlines and to-do lists as they have a direct impact on the performance of others.

Experience in CRMs, ESPs like Klaviyo and Mailchimp, and other marketing platforms is considered highly beneficial.
