    We are seeking a Director of Quality Systems to implement, oversee, and manage company-wide Quality Assurance initiatives to ensure the highest levels of product quality at Ecovative.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Leadership and Strategic Planning for

    Quality Systems:


    Develop a strategic quality systems framework that aligns with Ecovative's objectives and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.


    Document Control:
    Oversee controlled documents and the document control system to ensure all critical documentation is current, accessible, and properly managed.

    Training:


    Oversee training records and training policy to ensure a current, accessible, and properly managed inventory of training levels across all controlled training.


    Process Control:


    Establish documented control plans for all controlled processes, focusing on consistency, quality output, definition of process control points and quality indicators, definition of action limits, actions, alarms, etc...


    Quality Assurance and Compliance:


    Auditing processes and quality control measures and maintaining up-to-date SOPs to ensure we "Say what we do, do what we say".


    Quality-Led Process Improvements:
    Initiate and deliver process improvements as indicated by quality studies and by statistical process control methods on quality measures.

    Team Leadership:


    Manage and direct a small team of Quality specialists, including performance management, setting objectives, technical and behavioral development, coaching, project oversight, and employee relations.


    Collaboration:
    Collaborate with team managers to review and ensure company-wide Quality adherence and documentation. Communicate across departments lead system improvements and communicate expectations and corrective action items to appropriate team members.


    Other Essential Duties:
    Oversee and provide final approval of Quality investigations.
    Identify, detect, and escalate quality-related trends and concerns.
    Generate and communicate recommendations to senior management for investments in Quality systems and programs.


    Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

    Adaptable to Change:
    Thrives in environments with frequent R&D-driven process changes and the evolution of controls, maintaining quality amidst flux.

    Influential:


    Demonstrates a strong ability to foster and influence a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and Lean manufacturing principles across all levels of the organization.

    Hands-on Engagement:


    Commits to regular presence on the production floor to directly observe and understand operations, ensuring policies and procedures are grounded in practical reality.


    Practical Policy Development:
    Prefers succinct, clear, and down-to-earth policies and writings that are easily understood and implemented by all staff members.

    Realistic Compliance:
    Advocates for creating policies that the company can realistically adhere to, avoiding standards that would inadvertently place the company out of compliance or cause unnecessary effort to comply with

    Efficient Policy Creation:


    Shows a bias towards rapid development and implementation of initial versions of SOPs and policies (Rev 0) to quickly address needs, rather than delaying for perfection.


    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
    4+ years of quality management experience.
    Experience in LEAN and Six Sigma practices and Statistical Process Control

    The salary range for this role is based on the candidate's skills and experience. Starts at $95,000 - $120,000.
