Responsibility:
Responsible for coordinating vehicle testing, analysis and reporting of vehicle data, competitive benchmarking reporting, Electrical Demand Energy (EDE).Prepare vehicles for testing, including vehicle updates, instrumentation and submitting test requests for EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and environmental test cells.
Responsible for leading aero/thermal development and optimization for fuel economy, range and performance for a vehicle and will be involved with proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation for program milestones.
Support / lead vehicle instrumentation builds, checkout of vehicle, Test Planning and conduct clear productive tests (drive cell and road trips) and proactively lead issues resolution, identify solutions, and recommend actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace) from an ABET accredited University.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordMust have a strong hands-on background, with a passion for vehicle level testing and be able to interface with many groups within the company.
Excellent problem-solving skills.Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Must be able to lead and manage Suppliers.
Some travel required to Supplier and Corporate Engine/Transmission / Vehicle Assembly Plantsincluding Canada & Mexico, off site testing facilities as well as domestically to support press events.
Green/black belt in Shainin or DFSS desirable.Basic knowledge of TeamCenter, NX and VisProfessional viewerProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordValid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record - will be required to drive company vehicles.
