Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher for an ESY contract position in a school district near South Saint Paul, MN. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with elementary students with special needs and committed to providing high-quality educational support during the summer program.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the needs of students.
Assess students skills and learning requirements.
Use a variety of teaching techniques and materials to provide individualized instruction.
Monitor and report on students' progress.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and development.
Participate in a paid planning meeting and dedicated planning/prep time.

Schedule:

Program Hours: 7:45 AM - 11:45 AM, Monday to Friday
Paid Planning Meeting: June 27, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Additional Planning/Prep Time: 8 hours

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
Previous experience working with elementary students with special needs is preferred.
Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Licensure and State Requirements:

Must hold a current Minnesota teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
Candidates must meet all Minnesota Department of Education requirements for Special Education teachers.
Continuing education and professional development as required by the state.
