We're in CALIFORNIA and will be in Pennsylvania in Q3 2024 and expanding to other states next year.

    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join our practice Rheumission. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in rheumatology, demonstrating proficiency in medical assessments and treatment planning. The rheumatology NP/PA will be working alongside a board-certified rheumatologist. This role offers a unique opportunity to integrate rheumatological care with lifestyle interventions at a start-up, virtual-first company.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct virtual patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and pertinent diagnostic assessments.
    • Collaborate with the supervising physician to formulate diagnoses & personalized treatment plans.
    • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, feedback, and changes in medical status.
    • Educate patients about the benefits of lifestyle changes and empower them to take an active role in their health management.
    • Provide clear and concise explanations of treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications to patients and their families.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date EMR records for all patients.
    • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care and to continually improve systems, workflows, knowledge base, etc.
    • Stay current with advancements in rheumatology and lifestyle medicine through continuous learning, attending conferences, and engaging in professional development activities.
    • Maintain all licenses and certifications required for your position & jurisdiction of practice.

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree in nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • CALIFORNIA state licensure and/or registration as a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, compliant with local regulations.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
    • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in using EMRs and medical software.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
    • Minimum 1-year experience in a Rheumatology practice
