    Job Title: Employment Tax Analyst

    Hybrid Role Opportunity in Nashville

    We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Tax Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role based in Nashville. This position offers a unique blend of remote and in-office work, with a minimum of one day per month spent in the office.

    • Contract Duration: 3 months

    Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
    • Tax Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Employment Tax Laws
    • Accounting Skills: General Ledger and Intercompany Accounting expertise
    • Tax Compliance: Proven track record of tax compliance excellence
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Infor/Lawson Payroll System and/or BSI a plus
    • Tax Research Databases: Experience with LtTax, Printview Plus, Business Objects, and/or NoticeNinja

    Responsibilities:

    • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file state unemployment, withholding, disability, and specialty employment taxes
    • Journal Entries: Allocate tax liability expenses and credits to appropriate facilities via journal entries
    • Tax Assessment Notices: Analyze and resolve tax assessment notices promptly
    • Tax Database Maintenance: Maintain and update tax assessment notice database for accurate reporting
    • PSC Analyst Relationships: Build strong relationships with PSC Analysts
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and internal control standards
    • Withholding Accounts: Apply for state and local withholding accounts for new entities
    • Regulatory Reconciliation: Prepare and file regulatory reconciliation forms, addressing discrepancies
    • Unemployment Tax Returns: Complete and transmit unemployment tax returns to jurisdictions
    • W-2 Reconciliation: Reconcile W-2 reports, resolve discrepancies, and submit state W-2 records
