GRADUATE ASSISTANT: VOLLEYBALL
OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 135 full-time faculty members and offers more than 40 bachelor's degrees, twelve graduate programs, and over 20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines; many of these can be completed fully online.

POSITION SUMMARY:
DeSales University is an NCAA Division III member. The Graduate Assistant Volleyball Coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in practice, planning, game preparation, recruiting responsibilities and other duties as assigned. Compensation includes full tuition remission for graduate courses (up to 18 credits per academic year) at DeSales University, a stipend, on-campus housing (if available) and on-campus meal plan while undergraduate classes are in session. This appointment starts August 1st, 2022, and is renewable for up to two years.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Acceptance to, and continued enrollment in a DeSales University graduate program required
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required
- Prior successful playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; successful high school or club coaching experience considered
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Commitment to developing positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, administration, and DeSales community
- Proficiency with both Windows and Mac Operating Systems
- Proficiency with Photoshop is a valuable asset
- Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
