This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary Estimate labor and material costs of printing binding pamphlets periodicals and other printed materials based on specifications outlined from sales customer service or submitted by a prospective customer Examine understand specifications sketches layouts to calculate production costs using material pricing schedules considering factors such as size number sheets pages paper stock binding operations number ink colors quality finished product determine most cost-effective production method Confer with management develop confirm information regarding various cost elements Establish maintain relationships outside vendors industry experts maintain knowledge current new technologies Communicate negotiate vendors company obtain competitive pricing scheduling meet customers needs Review postproduction tickets compare actual estimated costs Work customer service business functions leverage skills enable sales representative focus developing new existing sales opportunities Develop solutions results continuous improvement collaborate business functions fully understand new product offerings discuss present implement Follow comply safety work rules regulations Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
