    Summary

    The Associate BRM Analyst will act as a liaison between business units (BU) and DBT, with a mission to more effectively achieve both Business Units specific and AV enterprise objectives. The position will contribute to the evolution of the AV's Digital Transformation initiative by actively supporting Business Partners and DBT with the strategic direction for both BU specific and enterprise-wide solutions. Provides support in the maintenance and improvement of global enterprise applications and creatively showcases the 'art of possible' for a company on the forefront of digital transformation.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Partners with business units and ensures every business decision is seen from the lens of our customers.


    • Collaborates with partner business units to reimagine how we can deliver the best processes possible using people, process, data, and technology.


    • Executes solutions that bring awareness to team members and customers on the value add of their relationship with AV Business partners.

    System Production Support


    • Provide customer support for functional enterprise application related issues.


    • Own/manage support queries from employees and DBT via our ticketing case management system.


    • Attends designated partner BU meetings and shadow Sr BRM team members.


    • Partner with DBT and vendors to deliver excellent customer service through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, issue resolution, issue tracking, and communication with users.


    • Serve as technical "super user" for people systems applications and practices.


    • Maintain the functional setups of people technology systems including Workday HCM, AutoTime, DocuSign, LawLogics and other relatable applications.


    • Support people systems projects and provide support for system upgrades and enhancements to include prioritization, project planning, functional design, schedule development, configuration, documentation, testing, training, change management, implementation and support model design.


    • Create and maintain people systems documentation and standard operating procedures.


    • Collect, document and maintain security requirements and policies for user level access to people applications.


    • Administer new releases/upgrades and provide systems daily management and governance for systems in regards to system changes, priorities, and impacts.


    • Support the research and evaluation of new and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs.


    • Administer delivery, documentation and escalated support of Business Process configuration and integration/interfaces for both new functionality and enhancements.


    • Administer change management plans in place to support new, enhanced technology or functionality.


    • Provide necessary training to end users to increase their effectiveness and ability to use of systems and tools.


    • Project Management responsibilities in support of business objectives, both service delivery and technology oriented, including: planning, task management, risk management, issue tracking & resolution, quality management, customer focused, communications plan & stakeholder updates.


    • Responsible for ensuring impactful people analytics are adopted, including development and implementation of dashboards and reports to support business needs.


    • Provide technical support for recurring and annual HR initiatives such as talent acquisition, performance management, talent management, annual compensation planning, learning and annual benefits open enrollment.


    • Utilizes business analysis techniques and business cases to define high-level product features and desired service levels for existing and emerging IT offerings.


    • Focuses on business value to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity and business capability requirements.


    • Fosters creativity and innovation by staying abreast of industry and technology trends.


    • Do business process gap analysis to optimize business process towards digitalization and automation.


    • Analyzes business requirements, works with various business and DBT teams in identifying data elements and prepare detailed specifications from which programs are written.

    Defines business requirements for designated business units.


    • Proactively collaborate with Business Process Owners and Business Partners to understand requirements/needs, and implement process and systems to continuously meet those needs.


    • Writes requirements to obtain data from enterprise data teams and analyzes the data set for trends or answers that will help improve the business.


    • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.


    • Contributes to key requirements, design and review sessions, key elements of business vision, and identifies business-based risk.


    • Promotes business vision into working practice and ensures full adoption of solution created by project.


    • Communicates with business leadership to evaluate joint initiatives and proposals to see how they align with established roadmaps and business and enterprise priorities.


    • Demonstrates system (e.g. Workday, AutoTime, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.) capability to solve business problems.


    • Works with business users to gather requirements and is accountable for overall feasibility and solution delivery. Defines and approves changes to high-level requirements.


    • Anticipates bottlenecks and provides escalation management.


    • Analyzes end-to-end, basic to moderate complexity business processes in one or more business functional areas.


    • Support SOX compliance processes and tasks related to HCM and financial systems.

    Collaborates with peers and project managers to balance BU and enterprise level optimization.


    • Transfers knowledge on proposed solution and BU needs to leadership and peers.


    • Collaborates with peers on similar workflows/terminology to make sure there is a common process across departments (where applicable) and to ensure technology strategy, down to functional requirements, work(s) well for every aspect of the business.


    • Anticipates and negotiates tradeoffs and balances business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit for the greater good of the organization.


    • Manages enhancement requests post implementation on an established and agreed upon release schedule.


    • Monitors reported production issues for opportunities to enhance business technology workflows. Escalates issues to stakeholders when necessary.


    • Coordinate with other business system analysts in Projects, Financials, and other areas to resolve cross-functional issues. Collaborate with the DBA/SysAdmin in Application of new Family packs and coordinate system integration testing with other module leads.


    • Partners with PMO and manages projects involving multiple departments or cross-functional teams, focusing on both successful integration, implementation, and adoption of new IT solutions.


    • Assists in development and overall execution of strategic plans, including leveraging company tracking mechanisms, and creating presentations and reports for the board, executive management, and other groups.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):


    • Bachelor's degree in the field of Computer Science, Finance and/or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience


    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with Workday HCM, WD Advanced Compensation, WD Talent Optimization modules


    • Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures


    • Extensive knowledge of conducting business requirement workshops


    • Big picture mindset to act tactically but think strategically


    • Strong Project management skills managing pipelines, demand generation, deadlines, prioritization, and process


    • Ability to work in a multi-project environment and support multiple internal customer/departments


    • In-depth understanding of day-to-day operations and business needs of business unit(s)


    • Highly skilled in negotiation, demonstrates keen attention to detail as well as strong analytical, time management and creative problem-solving techniques


    • Ability to positively influence others and to break down organizational silos


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with cross-functional teams, and presenting to leadership; communicates ideas in both technical and user-friendly language


    • Ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems


    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Visio, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint


    • Experience working with the Workday support opening SRs, follow-up and issue resolution


    • Strong knowledge of interfaces, workflow, AME, Workday business objects and underlying Oracle tables required

    Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.

    The salary range for this role is:

    $89,100 - $143,000

    AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
