    Description

    Unique opportunity:

    Join Major League Soccer as a driven and seasoned Manager, Consumer Products (Retail & Marketing) in our New York team. As the Retail & Marketing Manager, you will spearhead the development and execution of retail initiatives with MLS Clubs and key partners. This pivotal role involves collaborating with Clubs to align consumer products with Club-driven projects, boosting fan engagement, messaging, and revenue in an integrated manner. Be part of an esteemed organization, working together to enhance fan connections and drive financial success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with MLS Clubs to enhance merchandise programs and elevate sales across all Club platforms.
    • Act as the main contact for Clubs, ensuring consistent product and marketing messages online and in-stadium.
    • Provide product updates to help Clubs optimize their merchandise assortment both online and in-stadium.
    • Devise an omni-channel retail strategy for an unparalleled fan experience.
    • Coordinate local promotional calendars for Clubs and engage in regular omni-channel meetings.

    Asset Management:

    • Oversee creative submissions and approve final designs.
    • Maintain website product imagery and supply assets to retail partners and internal teams.

    Marketing Collaboration:

    • Work closely with various MLS departments to ensure smooth integration of Consumer Products.
    • Manage workflow and share information with relevant departments.
    • Develop and maintain a content calendar, setting deadlines for deliverables.
    • Organize consumer products documentation as required.
    • Lead end-to-end management of marketing and product launches.

    Qualifications:

    Over 5 years of experience in consumer products marketing, operations, or retail.

    • Understanding of product trends and business drivers in licensing and sports culture.
    • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decisions.
    • High-energy approach suitable for a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and presentation skills for effective communication.
    • Strong communication abilities to interact with partners and senior leadership.
    • Detail-oriented, efficient in multitasking under pressure.
    • Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
    • Great interpersonal and influencing skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Comfortable in complex organizational settings and lean environments.
    • Committed to delivering top-quality work and upholding organizational ethics.
    • Proven decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Willingness to travel (10-20%) and work flexible hours occasionally.
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Rewards Package:

    Major League Soccer offers a competitive starting salary of $75,000 - $85,000, customizing based on qualifications, market factors, and business needs.
