**Location:** Staplehurst, Kent, TN12 0DS

**Salary:** per hour

**Contract:** Full time, Permanent

**Hours:** 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Our new factory unit is due to be completed this summer which means several new roles being available for the right applicants. Magnetic Shields Limited had an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly sociable production department as **Furnace Loader**

We are leading specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke magnetically shielded rooms, and have an expanding customer base throughout the UK, Europe, USA and Asia. With a full manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent fully equipped with the latest technology we are able to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality.

All of our manufacturing processes, including heat treatment, are integrated in our production plant

**About the Furnace Loader role:**

The role of the Furnace Loader will join our furnace team and become part of our professional, safety conscious organisation. A hands-on role within our Furnace Department, who are responsible for 8 Heat Treatment Furnaces

**In addition to this you will be responsible for:**

Loading, operating and unloading our heat treatment furnaces, in particular our vacuum furnaces

Ensuring the correct procedures and specifications are followed during operation of the furnaces materials being heat treated are Mu-metal, stainless steel & sometimes aluminum

Quality checks all furnace cycles

Assisting the Furnace Supervisor in daily workload requirements, ensuring order deadline are met

Recording any malfunctions with the Maintenance Department

**Essential skills:**

Experience with vacuum/ gas fired furnaces in a production environment

Experience in reading and working from engineering drawings

You must be a team player, keen to learn and be able to work to tight deadlines liaising with colleagues

This is a hands-on role so you must be capable of loading, unloading and being on your feet all day

**Desirable skills:**

Metallurgy background or experience

Vacuum Furnace experience
