Job summary
We're working with a US-based small satellite company that designs builds and operates end-to-end spacecraft missions across Earth observation communications in-orbit demonstrations science and exploration.The business delivers turnkey satellite systems covering everything from mission design through on-orbit operations and is now looking to add a Senior GNC Engineer to support current and upcoming missions.
This is a senior hands-on role with a strong focus on GNC analysis simulation and flight software contribution working closely with Systems Engineering Mission Design and Flight Software teams.
What you'll be working on High-fidelity modelling and simulation of spacecraft GNC systems across all mission phases Monte Carlo analysis covariance studies and performance validation Sensor actuator analysis including star trackers IMUs reaction wheels GNSS propulsion subsystems Development modification of C++ flight software components Verification validation through unit testing hardware-in-the-loop simulations Providing input into mission CONOPS system requirements What they're looking for 8+ years of experience in spacecraft GNC analysis simulation Strong understanding of spacecraft dynamics control systems estimation techniques such as Kalman filtering Solid experience with C++, plus Python or MATLAB Proven background building numerical tools Comfortable at system level collaborating disciplines Based in or able to work hybrid from the Denver metro area Nice to have Flight software development experience space missions Familiarity commercial frameworks Linux environments Git Exposure testing like phasing orbit
