- Ability to carry out all duties of a registered nurse.
- Take a leadership role in delivering quality nursing care for patients in the nursing department.
- Supervise, coordinate, and delegate nursing activities.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain an efficient and safe schedule for patient care, meeting patient needs within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with surgeons/physicians to create a general care plan for patients, utilizing problem-solving skills.
- Ensure proper equipment and supplies availability for cases by working with materials management and staff.
- Participate in hiring, orientation, training, evaluation, and discipline of nursing/clinical personnel.
- Provide written and verbal evaluations to team members and conduct frequent meetings as needed.
- Continuously assess the quality of care provided to patients, addressing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
- Enforce policies and procedures in line with current standards of practice.
- Participate in meetings as scheduled by the team, Clinical Director, and CEO.
- Engage in education programs and in-services on new equipment and materials.
- Establish, monitor, and evaluate a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and healthcare providers.
- Work with the CEO and Materials Management to develop and implement an annual budget plan.
- Regularly meet and communicate with staff.
- Assist in Quality Improvement initiatives, utilizing root cause analysis in the development and implementation of nursing activities.
- Report patient injuries/grievances to relevant personnel and assist in resolution.
- Assist in creating an orientation program for new personnel.
- Report equipment repair needs to appropriate personnel.
- Utilize RL Solutions, OneNet, HST/Pathways, and HST echart in daily tasks.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- 3-5 years of experience in OR and/or medical surgical nursing, with managerial/leadership experience preferred.
- Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 6 months of employment or proof of current certification.
- Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of employment or proof of current certification.
- Salary Range: Minimum USD $90.00/Year.
- Maximum: USD $133.00/Year.
