    Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Hawai'i Department of Agriculture, located in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.


    MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $2,914 – 4,500/Mon.


    DUTIES: Provides fiscal support, which includes all aspects of procurement, processing, and budgeting related to Hawai'i Produce Safety Program functions. Prepares and processes all required financial reporting to sponsoring agency as specified in grant conditions, purchase orders, requisitions, authorizations for payments, and other related documents. Provides budgetary oversight, instruction, and analysis. Assists with compiling information for critical data under the auspices of the Hawai'i Produce Safety Program, such as verification of farm inventory data. Drives to project sites as needed. Follows up with staff, consultants, and vendors on status of assigned tasks and ensures that projects are meeting set timelines. Assists with training staff in updated fiscal processing and reportingsubmissions. Maintains accurate personnel files, processes all personnel action forms, and maintains current information files on all hiring and personnel procedures. Processes and inputs timesheets for all personnel.


    PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION

    Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    Two to four (2-4) years of administrative or accounting experience. (Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Business or related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience).

    KNOWLEDGE

    Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of financial statements and procurement procedures. Knowledge and overall awareness of activities and administrative processes to facilitate organizational workflow.

    ABILITIES & SKILLS

    Ability to proficiently use and operate office equipment such as a personal computer, fax machine, and telephone system. Ability to use word-processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel). Must possess a valid driver's license (and if use of personal vehicle on the job is required, must also have valid personal driver's insurance equivalent to Hawai'i's No-Fault Driver's Insurance) and maintain throughout the duration of employment. Post Offer/Employment Condition: Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check. Must be able to complete the UH Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) within two (2) weeks from date of hire, and re-certify every twelve (12) months.

    PHYSICAL/MEDICAL DEMANDS

    Ability to lift and carry up to twenty (20) pounds of equipment/supplies unassisted.
