Job Description
The Laboratory Technician performs assigned analysis and reports results according to procedures and regulations of the department while maintaining quality control and equipment as per instructions and schedule. This role involves correlating laboratory results with clinical findings through chart reviews and consultations with nursing and medical staff, along with performing receptionist and phlebotomist tasks. Compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care is essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned analyses and report results in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
- Correlate laboratory results with clinical findings through chart review and consultation.
- Perform receptionist and phlebotomist tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health care regulations.
