    Respiratory Therapist Role Overview

    This critical care professional provides personalized therapy plans to patients suffering from respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.

    1. Educates patients on various breathing techniques or device use based on the established treatment plan requirements.
    2. Ensures equipment is properly maintained, performs routine safety checks as per organizational protocols, and takes corrective action when necessary.
    3. Conducts thorough assessments of a patient's respiratory or cardiopulmonary status, documenting findings in accordance with standard operating procedures.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:


    This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy for patients' needs, physical stamina to work in fast-paced environments while navigating complex medical equipment. The successful candidate will also have prior experience working within similar healthcare settings preferably involving direct patient care responsibilities under minimal supervision.

    Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited educational program such as an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (AASRT) along with relevant certifications like Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
