Position Summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonology team in Fayetteville, NC. This position plays a key role in patient care by working in collaboration with a supervising physician. Emphasis on patient care, stable acute illness reprieve, health promotion, and illness/injury prevention. Coordinates staffing and orientation of assigned team members. Plans and conducts ongoing education and training. Maintains infection control/safety standards, and is committed to providing and promoting patient-centered communication and care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Makes responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care in various outpatient clinical settings.
Outpatient practice involves managing patients with the usual respiratory diseases.
Assesses and treats patients with pulmonary fibrosis, COPD, sleep apnea, heart failure, asthma, lung cancer, insomnia, and other pulmonary diseases.
Developing protocols for the management of pulmonary diseases.
Compliance with all coding and documentation requirements.
Educates patients and families as appropriate. Provides continuity of care.
Performs other related duties as required.
Must be comfortable floating to other locations as needed.
Full-time W2 opportunity.
Attractive base salary with additional bonus potential.
Current or in the process of obtaining an unrestricted license PA in North Carolina.
Minimum 1-2 years of Internal Medicine or Cardiopulmonary experience preferred.
