    Esports Program Coordinator and CoachDepartment of AthleticsSt. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Esports Program Coordinator and Coach.

    The coach will embrace the responsibility of building and maintaining a program respected for its commitment to the mission and core values of St.

    Edward's University, while representing the program in accordance with NACE, TESPA and institutional rules and regulations.


    For consideration:
    Baccalaureate degree is required with Master's Degree preferred.
    Two (2) years as coach or program coordinator in a collegiate environment is strongly preferred.
    Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in recruiting new students to the university.
    Demonstrated record of promoting the academic success of student-athletesEvidence of working/relating effectively with student-athletes of diverse races and cultures.
    Evidence of complying fully with governing bodies' regulations.

    Possession of a valid unencumbered driver's license and the ability to travel both locally and nationallySuccessful completion of an employment and/or criminal background check is required.


    Essential Responsibilities:


    The program coordinator/coach is responsible for all aspects of the Esports program, to include: successfully organizing and implementing a comprehensive recruiting and retention plan; communicating and implementing the vision of the program; supporting student-athlete success in all areas of the student experience; integrating the program into the campus community; supporting team captains, practice and management of matches; management of resources provided by the University which supports the essential components of the program and being actively involved in fundraising to enhance resources for the program.
