    • Perform new connects, reconnects, disconnects, upgrades, downgrades and change-of-service.
    • Install and relocate outlets.
    • Install or remove converters and cable modems.

    The Field Service Technician will assist with various tasks aligned with Point Broadband's operational goals while upholding high service standards.
    In this role you will install interior and exterior wiring connect peripheral equipment train customers on proper equipment use monitor repair record system drop in-house leakage assure proper signal levels picture quality troubleshoot from consumer device tap identify causes of picture/ signal degradation troubleshooting repair replace components tap consumer device assuring system security terminating unused ports tagging drops locking pedestals taking voltage measurements understanding applying FCC NESC technical standards identifying reporting noncompliance incidents providing superior customer service completing all tasks company quality standard maintaining professional appearance behavior times responsible motor vehicle policy including equipment tool inventory vehicle security maintenance replacing defective damaged tap plates installing taps troubleshoot repairs problems between customer equipment RF optical node performing routine balancing aligning adjustment components amplifying processing signals output node underground aerial construction duties CATV operations network troubleshooting ping test trace routes speed test installs power supply field engineering walkouts other duties assigned training employees;
    The successful candidate must possess computer networking skills basic technical aptitude provide technical information to nontechnical audience work independently accurately measure distances tapes measuring devices operate office equipment fax copier handle escalations time critical issues read street maps work flexible hours required evenings weekends shifts;Position requires high school diploma equivalent one two years experience broadband communication preferred
