    Job Description

The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) is recognized as an international leader in translating scientific discovery into clinical therapies. Physicians and scientists at WFIRM were the first in the world to engineer laboratory-grown organs that were successfully implanted into humans. Today, this interdisciplinary team that numbers about 400 is working to engineer more than 40 different replacement tissues and organs, and to develop healing cell therapies - all with the goal to cure, rather than merely treat, disease.

We are currently recruiting for all skill levels in chemistry, biology, biotechnology, computer sciences and engineering, to join a multidisciplinary team in a cutting edge program that marries the fields of organs on a chip with 3D Bioprinting, regenerative medicine, and machine learning and artificial intelligence. This project is focused on protecting our Warfighters and Nation against threat agents by utilizing state of the art organs on a chip. Studying the pathogenesis of these threat agents will allow us to understand changes occurring at the molecular level, which will serve as learning data sets for computer algorithms and enable predictive modeling of threat agents.
